It is simple for the customers to stew the bird’s nest by themselves, and the bird’s nest can be kept refrigerated for a maximum of 1 week. However, the time of stewing bird’s nest is slightly different depending on the nest’s type, texture and formation, so we would like to recommend you a few recipes here.
Soak Soak bird’s nest for some time, after that, remove the feather and dirt(if there is). Different types of bird’s nest need different soaking time, varying from 2 to 24 hours.Grade “A” birdnest take around 2hours.
The process of stewing
1. Soak bird’s nest for some time first, (Different types of nest need different time of soaking)Remember, soaking water should be over the whole nest so that the nest can absorb enough moisture.
2. Use the clamper to clean dirt and feather.
3. Use the sifter to filter the water. Set aside the soaked nest.
4. Put some cool water in the stewing pot and fill the stewing pot with boiling water. And put the soaked nest into the stewing pot as well. (Different types of nest need different time of stewing) If the bird’s nest is overdone, it will become too soft and might get melted.
Additional remarks: – All types of bird’s nest should also be stewed with low heat. – During stewing, the stewed water needs to cover the nest. You can add more water or stew it for a longer time to make it smoother. – The water outside the stewing pot should be boiled first before stewing begins. – Rock sugar can be added at the end of stewing to make the texture and taste better.
